Please join us for an interactive Zoom call on Thursday, April 16, from 6:00-7:00 p.m.  Bring you questions, Mary will be happy to answer from the comfort of you home.

This is a fun opportunity to learn about the Rules of Golf from our own Mary Shepperd who has been volunteering as a Rules Official for well over 20 years. Our Chapter is fortunate that she volunteers her time and shares her expertise with our members.

Mary has long held Expert Rules Certification by the United States Golf Association, and more importantly, loves teaching the Rules of Golf. She has worked over 50 national championships for the USGA, including the US Open, the US Women’s Open (most recently in Pebble Beach in 2023), the US Am and Women’s Am, and many others.

Rules from Basics to Advanced

Mary will review the most asked questions and some of the most vexing parts of taking free and penalty relief, for example:

  • When to drop and when to place
  • When you need to re-drop
  • Back on the Line Relief (when and how)
  • How to properly play a Provisional
  • Unplayable Options

Sign Up if you are new to golf, want a refresher to increase your knowledge of the Rules of Golf, want to feel more confident out on the course in regular play, or even in competition.
